Located in eastern Georgia,  Kakheti is responsible for 65 percent of the country's wine. Much comes from the Alazani Valley, a dramatic expanse stretching along the formidable Greater Caucasus. The hot, dry climate make for intense, full-bodied wines, most notably, rkatsiteli and saperavi.

Our trip takes us to the homes of local artisans for tastings where we learn about their winemaking techniques and climaxes into a village supra - a Georgian feast.
