Kakheti

Wine Country

Located in eastern Georgia,  Kakheti is responsible for 65 percent of the country's wine. Much comes from the Alazani Valley, a dramatic expanse stretching along the formidable Greater Caucasus. The hot, dry climate make for intense, full-bodied wines, most notably, rkatsiteli and saperavi.

Our trip takes us to the home of an accomplished local artisan, where we learn about their winemaking techniques, taste a limitless amount of wine and eat copious amounts of local, home-cooked fare before spending the night in a nearby boutique hotel.

Price: $250, includes transportation, lodging and all you can eat and drink, along with breakfast.
